Seven organisations are currently represented on ComHabitat's Management Group.  In addition ComHabitat is working collaboratively with UN-Habitat.

The Commonwealth Association of Planners (CAP) is concerned with the planning and management of settlements and regions across the Commonwealth.  Professional organisations of urban and regional planners across the Commonwealth are members of the Association.

The Commonwealth Foundation is an intergovernmental organisation with a mandate to strengthen civil society in the achievement of Commonwealth priorities, particularly those related to democracy and good governance, respect for human rights and gender equality, poverty eradication and sustainable, people-centred development, and to promote arts and culture.  The Commonwealth Foundation provides funding for the ComHabitat Secretariat.

The Commonwealth Human Ecology Council (CHEC) is a non-governmental organisation that promotes an integrated approach to sustainable community development.  CHEC was centrally involved in setting up the CCGHS.

The Commonwealth Local Government Forum (CLGF) is a focus for action on local democracy in the Commonwealth.  CLGF works to promote and strengthen democratic local government across the Commonwealth, and to encourage the exchange of best practice.

The Commonwealth Secretariat is the main intergovernmental agency of the Commonwealth.  It facilitates consultation and co-operation among member governments and countries.  The Commonwealth Secretary General convenes meetings of the CCGHS.

The Department for International Development (DFID) is the part of the UK Government that manages Britain's aid to poor countries and works to get rid of extreme poverty.  DFID provides funding for the ComHabitat Secretariat.

Homeless International is a non-governmental organisation that supports community-led housing and infrastructure related development in partnership with local partner organisations in Asia, Africa and Latin America.  The initiatives are all led, developed and managed by the local community groups themselves.  Homeless International hosts the ComHabitat Secretariat.

ComHabitat is also working collaboratively with the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat) on research.  UN-Habitat is the United Nations agency for human settlements.  It is mandated by the UN General Assembly to promote socially and environmentally sustainable towns and cities with the goal of providing adequate shelter for all.
